Agriculture Training and Christian Discipleship

Fields of Hope seeks to educate and empower young Ghanaian men through Bible teaching and small-scale agriculture. We operate a 78-acre working farm and training school in the Central Region of Ghana.

By cultivating a love for God and His Word, young people will realize God’s love for them and His plan for their lives. We will help them channel the life skills they learn in the area of agriculture to help build up their communities and provide from themselves and their families.

Ghana is a land with great potential, but continues to be plagued with poverty. We believe the best way to change this cycle is to lead by example.

• Final payment made to secure land

  In 2015, with the generous help of our supporters, we were able to make the final payment to secure the farm land in Ghana. With land payments behind us, we are excited to be able to dedicate more resources toward the development of the farm and training school.

• Oversight Board Formed in USA
  May, 2013
  

  In early 2013, meetings were being held to discuss the future of the farm and how to use it most effectively. A formal board of six members was identified to formulate a vision and carry the project forward. It was immediately recognized that the farm should be a training ground for the betterment of Ghana’s youth.

• Early development in Ghana
  Oct, 2010
  

  In October, 2010, Jonathan Groff and his family moved to the farm in Ghana for a three-year period of development. During this time and with the help of the local people, fields and pastures were created, basic farm equipment was acquired, and some livestock projects were started.

• Organization Founded
  Feb, 2009
  

  Fields of Hope began in 2009 when four businessmen from Ontario, Canada recognized the need for employment opportunities for Ghana’s youth. In February, a deal was signed on 78 acres of undeveloped land in Gomoa Ankamu, about 50 miles west of Accra, with these four businessmen acting as the original investors.
